Pictures here are worth a thousand words! As a reminder, with the old wheels fitted, the car looked like this:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"border\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mukerji.s3.amazonaws.com\/car\/wol\/images\/2007-05-11\/1.jpg?ssl=1\" alt=\"\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So, with an M5 supervising, we performed a quick swap:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"border\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mukerji.s3.amazonaws.com\/car\/wol\/images\/2007-05-11\/2.jpg?ssl=1\" alt=\"\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And here are the results:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"border\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/mukerji.s3.amazonaws.com\/car\/wol\/images\/2007-05-11\/5.jpg?ssl=1\" alt=\"\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m pretty pleased! The wheels came with a set of Goodyear Eagle F1s. The fronts still have plenty of tread left, but the rears were very worn with signs of track abuse: chunks missing and cord showing in places. An early morning trip to my friendly tyre centre this morning saw those two tyres replaced with Falkens for only \u00a3120 the pair.<\/p>\n<p>The car drives fine on them, although the rear is a little wild while the new rears bed in.<\/p>\n<p>On another note, the exhaust resonance is becoming louder to the point where it&#8217;s almost intolerable.
